Meet Dr. Sheffie Robinson
Workforce and Economic Development Strategist
I'm Dr. Sheffie Robinson, a clinical sociologist and sociotherapist based in Augusta, Georgia. My work sits where people meet the systems they live and work inside: governments, schools, businesses, and the individuals moving through them all. I help institutions build the structures that open opportunity, and I help people find their way into the ones that already exist. Put simply, I help build rooms worth walking into, and I help people navigate the rooms they're already in.
Some weeks that means helping a city turn an empty building into a place where small businesses can start. Other weeks it means helping someone read their workplace clearly and decide their next move, which with individuals often takes the form of sociotherapy. The scale changes; the through line doesn't. Opportunity opens when you change how people and systems fit together, and my work is grounded in what the research shows about how that actually happens: through access, trust, and the networks most people are never handed.
